This year for Father's Day, Mike thought it would be fun to go to a shooting range with the guys (Mickey, Matt, Shawn & Mike). We called around and found a place in Circle Pines that we thought would be fun. Armored-Fire is a pretty nice range that had several shooting lanes, as well as the motorized targets that you control your distance with a little switch on the wall (just like the movies!). They rented out all kinds of weapons, and we could bring our own.

We rented 3 pistols: two Glock's (9 & 10 mm), and a .44 Desert Eagle (like the Matrix guns), plus we brought Mike's dad's .357 Magnum revolver. Between the 4 of us we shot close to 200 rounds in about an hour and a half - not too bad for a bunch of novice marksmen!

After the range, we came back to our house and ate chicken and ribs with the family (thanks for the good grub mom!). Then everyone spent a little time in the pool. Noah (Mike's nephew) even went off the diving board a couple of times!! (He's two.)

All in all a pretty good day with beautiful 80 degree weather, and lots of fun with family. A great Father's Day I thought.

Plans are in the works for us to close on our new home by the end of June. We're pretty excited about getting into our first home together. It's a very special time for the Brower family.

For those of you that don't know, we are buying the house that we have been renting since November of last year. It is a wonderful place that exceeds our hopes for a what our home could be! We have really enjoyed living here the past several months.

Now that summer has arrived we have been able to use the pool and have friends and family enjoy it with us. We had Andy & Noah's 2nd birthday here the end of May, as well as several other get-togethers throughout these months. It is a wonderful house for entertaining, hopefully we'll have plenty more opportunities to come!
